820 Dance Company presents:
Shadows
Shadows tells the story everyone experiences at some point in their own life. What shadow are you living in? Are you in the shadows, creating a shadow, do you feel overshadowed, or would you prefer to remain in the shadows unseen? There are so many layers and shapes to shadows all around us. In this show you will see that come to life through a storytelling dance performance with professional dancers from the twin cities area, along with our apprentice company of incredibly talented students.
We can’t wait to see you!

Theatre Elision presents: Penelope
MUSIC AND LYRICS BY ALEX BECHTEL
BOOK BY ALEX BECHTEL, GRACE MCLEAN, AND EVA STEINMETZ
"I could wait for you forever, If you told me what forever was for.”
Many of us are familiar with The Odyssey, the epic poem composed around the 8th century BC and telling the story of Odysseus as he works his way home to Ithaca after fighting in the Trojan War. His journey takes ten years — the same amount of time the war lasted. This means that Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, has waited twenty years for his return. This untold story is brought to life in Penelope, as we are given a snapshot into her final days of waiting for her husband. It is a musical love letter to all those who wait: For someone they love. For something they believe in. And hope that the wait will end well.

Art of Reconciliation presents:
Secret Garden
By Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman
This compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's 1911 novel is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman. Orphaned in India, 11-year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his bedridden son Colin. The garden serves as a place of healing and transformation for the characters in the story as they participate in the rebirth of spring. Presented in arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
This show is appropriate for all ages, and is partnering with Urban Roots, a Saint Paul organization whose mission is to cultivate and empower youth through nature, healthy food, and community.
Tickets are sliding scale, so you can choose a price point that fits your budget ($20/$30/$40) while supporting the performing arts in our community.
