Youth Programs Director - Lindsay Fitzgerald

Lindsay Fitzgerald has always had a passion for theatrical arts. She has been with Theatre Elision from the beginning, serving as Director and Designer for the company. She also works closely with The Phipps Center for the Arts, directing and teaching youth programs including a recent endeavour into the art of improvisation. Lindsay believes in the importance of using theatre as a means of education for people of all ages, but for young people she feels it is particularly impactful for their self esteem, emotional awareness, and their ability to work together with their peers. Through her work with various youth programs around the Twin Cities, including Project Success, Ashland Productions and SOAR Regional Arts, she has had the opportunity to educate and learn from students across the metro. Watching children grow and learn through the arts is something that brings her continual joy. As Youth Programs Director with Elision Playhouse she hopes to continue to ignite a passion for the arts in kids, giving them a space to play, explore, and find their own unique voices!
